Intrigued and inspired, he embarked on a quest that led him to order his equipment from Cabela's through a mail catalog. With a heart brimming with anticipation, he dove headfirst into fly fishing for Snook alongside his grandfather, uncle, and cousins. Every weekend he witnessed their united pursuit, a harmonious blend of regular tackle and live shrimp.
In 2002, necessity and passion converged as Thiago embarked on an endeavor to sell rods and reels, funding his pursuit of higher education. Observing a glaring gap in the market and a burgeoning demand for fly fishing gear in Brazil, he set his sights on a larger vision. A fly fishing blog materialized, serving as a platform to showcase imported products through captivating images. The response was resounding - customers would reach out via calls and emails, eager to secure these items.
As the blog's scope expanded, it transformed into a hub of information, a beacon guiding enthusiasts in the intricate world of fly fishing. The growing demand spurred the creation of a dedicated online shop, bridging the gap between supply and demand.
While Snook catalyzed Thiago's fly fishing voyage, he found the available fly offerings to be a mismatch for the local fish's preferences.
