Sean Hansen's fly fishing journey began in the heartland of the Midwest and expanded to the scenic waters of New England, where he honed his skills by enticing a variety of fish species to strike at his flies. As a 19-year-old, Sean embarked on a new chapter by joining the team of a Wisconsin-based fly shop. There, he delved into the industry's intricacies and began his journey as a guide, sharing his expertise and enthusiasm with fellow anglers. His experiences were enriched further as he pursued his college education, ultimately earning a degree in fisheries biology from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point.

The allure of Montana's breathtaking landscapes beckoned Sean, and he spent two transformative years guiding in the Missoula region. He embraced the challenge of leading expeditions into the rugged Bob Marshall Wilderness, forging unforgettable memories amidst the untamed wilderness.

Now back in the Midwest, Sean has rekindled his connection with the trout and warmwater fish that define the region's waters. His passion for the sport has translated into a role as the Fishing Manager for Orvis' downtown Chicago location. In this capacity, he continues to share his knowledge and passion for fly fishing, connecting with novice and seasoned anglers.
