At the tender age of 5, Rainy embarked on her fly fishing journey. Today, she stands as a globally acclaimed master fly designer, boasting an impressive portfolio of over 850 exclusive fly patterns that span across all fishing genres. In 1971, she took the reins as the visionary founder and former owner of Rainy's, Inc. Despite her background in choral conducting and vocal coaching, her heart has always been intertwined with the art of fly fishing and fly tying.

Rainy has earned worldwide recognition for her expertise in foam manipulation, pioneering time-efficient fly tying methods, and establishing fly patterns that have become industry standards. Beyond her fly fishing pursuits, she's a mother to four and a grandmother to eight, relishing these familial connections.

With more than two decades spent in Thailand, Rainy personally supervised the expansive production facilities, ensuring the unmatched quality and diversity of their fly tying operations. Now in her retired years, she dedicates time to visiting loved ones while continuing to indulge in her passion.
