Over 13 years, Loren diligently nurtured FlyGuy's Guide Service into one of the most prosperous and respected fly fishing guide services in Upstate New York. He focused on providing an enriching experience for salmon, steelhead, and trout enthusiasts, imparting knowledge about fish behavior, water reading skills, and effective angling techniques. In 2013, Loren chose to step away from guiding, opting to channel his passion for fly fishing education through public speaking engagements and seminars tailored for small groups.

Loren's introduction to Fly Fishing Team USA dates back to 2005, when he was chosen as the inaugural official fly tier for the World Fly Fishing Championships held in Lycksele, Sweden. This marked the beginning of his association with the team, as he joined as an angling member in 2007. Loren's unwavering dedication to the cause continued through 2012 when he garnered numerous individual and team medals. His exceptional performance earned him a spot on two world-championship teams, solidifying his legacy in competitive fly fishing.
