Jared Ehlers has devoted his entire life to the pursuit of fish, a passion that has been with him since childhood. He prides himself on being an inclusive and versatile fisherman, employing various tools and techniques to catch almost every species. His fishing adventures have taken him across the country, from the sunny shores of Florida to his home state of Wisconsin and the scenic waters of Colorado and Alaska.
Growing up in a fly shop owned by his father, Pat Ehlers, a fly designer for Rainy's Flies, Jared developed a deep love for fly fishing. He finds immense joy in using a fly rod to go after sizable fish and top predators. In the Wisconsin region, his favorite targets are the mighty pike and muskies.
During the summer months, Jared takes on the role of a fishing guide for trophy northern pike in the stunning landscapes of southwest Alaska. You can find him at The Fly Fishers fly shop when he's not guiding, where he has been a part of the team since he was just 16 years old. He's also skilled in using conventional tackle, showcasing his versatility as an angler.
