Greg discovered the world of fly fishing relatively later in life. Having grown up fishing the rivers and streams of Kentucky, he was initially unfamiliar with the art of traditional freshwater fly fishing. It wasn't until he relocated to Pensacola, Florida, that he succumbed to the irresistible allure of both fly fishing and fly tying. With a focus on saltwater species, Greg's flies took on vibrant colors and dynamic movements. With his background as a visual artist, this approach to angling resonated deeply with him. His artistic sensibilities also prompt him to explore unconventional materials and tying methods, resulting in flies that deviate from traditional norms. This creativity led to the creation of FlyLipps, a simple piece of plastic that imparts increased action to large freshwater and saltwater patterns.
