His commitment extends beyond the angler's perspective as he has served as a member and president of the organization. Together with fellow enthusiasts, they engage in stream restoration and fish habitat enhancement projects that contribute to the local ecosystem.

Currently residing in Roseburg, Oregon, Dave finds solace in his home nestled along the banks of the North Umpqua River. Alongside his wife, Anna, he continues to cherish the natural wonders that have captivated him for decades, keeping the spirit of fly-fishing alive in his heart and community.
