Brian Shumaker, with more than 20 years of experience as a smallmouth guide, owns and operates Susquehanna River Guides in South Central Pennsylvania. Perfecting his craft under the tutelage of his good friend and mentor, Bob Clouser, he specializes in smallmouth bass and warm water species on the Susquehanna, Juniata and their major tributaries.

He is a recognized speaker, author, elite pro for several fishing brands, and an accomplished fly tier and designer, recently adding his deadly Shimmering Minnow to the list of top smallmouth patterns.  

Brian shares his passion for fishing warm water species with clients from across the US, Canada, and Europe. In addition, he has begun branching out, hosting various destination trips with existing clients who value his expertise and wide range of knowledge regarding many warm water species in both fresh and saltwater.
